FY 2008 SHSP CBRNE/HAZMAT Grant Program

The Virginia Department of Emergency Management is pleased to announce the availability of the FY2008 State Homeland Security Grant Program opportunity for local governments with a Contracted or Non-Contracted HAZMAT Team. The funding is limited to supporting the training and equipment for the HAZMAT Teams.

The grant application and guidelines are provided below to assist you with your submission. These required documents must be submitted to be considered for this grant. Please ensure that all forms are complete and submitted on or before May 15, 2009. All submissions must be submitted through the locality CAO’s office and only one submission per local government will be accepted. Multiple submissions from any locality may result in all submissions from that locality being deemed ineligible.

• Period of Performance:
  • June 1, 2009 – December 31, 2010
• Focus: CBRNE HazMat equipment
• Allocated: Distributed among Contract Teams and Non-Contract Teams.
• Funding Level: $1M
